are back on Sept. 11! Touch A Truck puts your child in the driver's seat of public works, police, fire vehicles and more The City of Marysville invites you to Touch A Truck on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Totem Middle School, 1605 7th St. Touch A Truck is a free event that puts your kids in the driver's seat of Marysville's biggest heavy-duty rigs. Honk horns, set off sirens, and learn about various Public Works big rides from the workers who drive them - dump trucks, backhoes, vactor truck, police patrol vehicles, garbage trucks, fire rigs and more. Marysville Noon Rotary Club will offer special activities for kids, and Marysville Kiwanis will have tasty treats for sale. For more info, call (360) 363-8400. Bring a camera! No pets, please. Interested citizens sought to apply for vacant City Council seat
- deadline Sept. 8 The City of Marysville is accepting letters of interest from citizens interested in applying to fill a vacancy on the City Council. Applicants should submit a letter of interest with qualifications stating why they would like to participate on the seven-member Council, along with a resume. Applicants must be current registered voters who have lived inside Marysville city limits for at least one year from the time that Councilmember Jon Nehring stepped down on Aug. 2 when the Council appointed him to serve as Mayor. Under state law provisions, residents who have resided for at least one year in recently annexed areas are also eligible to apply. [read more] |
