Patrol OperationsCommander Robb Lamoureux has been a resident of Marysville since moving to Washington State in 1977. Commander Lamoureux has spent his entire police career with the Marysville Police Department since being hired as a patrolman in 1986. In 1988 he became Marysville's first D.A.R.E. officer and was instrumental in establishing the D.A.R.E. program in the Marysville School District. His career includes experience as a patrol officer, D.A.R.E. officer, bicycle patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant and Patrol Operations Commander.
In his current assignment, Lamoureux oversees the most visible function of the Police Department:
Patrol Operations. Patrol Operations is divided into Patrol, Traffic, Community Service , K-9 and
Crime Prevention. The Operations Division represents nearly 50% of the total staffing and
claims the largest portion of the overall department budget. Cmdr.
