Patrol Operations

Commander Robb Lamoureux has been a resident of Marysville since moving to Washington State in 1977. Commander Lamoureux has spent his entire police career with the Marysville Police Department since being hired as a patrolman in 1986. In 1988 he became Marysville's first D.A.R.E. officer and was instrumental in establishing the D.A.R.E. program in the Marysville School District. His career includes experience as a patrol officer, D.A.R.E. officer, bicycle patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant and Patrol Operations Commander. Coomander Robb Lamoureux

In his current assignment, Lamoureux oversees the most visible function of the Police Department: Patrol Operations. Patrol Operations is divided into Patrol, Traffic, Community Service , K-9 and Crime Prevention. The Operations Division represents nearly 50% of the total staffing and claims the largest portion of the overall department budget.

The Operations Division provides police services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patrol is staffed by four sergeants and 16 officers, which are divided into four squads. Marysville city limits are currently divided into four beats. Officers are assigned to one of four beats daily. The Patrol Division responds to crimes in progress, calls for service and proactive law enforcement.
